The Nigeria Police has uncovered a gun making factory in Oju local government area of Benue state.

 

 
Fatai Owoseni, Benue state police commissioner revealed that the site of the factory is located at Amyuwogbu-Ibilla in Oju.

 

 

According to the police boss, some suspects arrested include; Abi Odah, Kingsley Abi and one Thomas Ode.

 

 

Mr. Owoseni confirmed to journalists while parading the suspects that the factory was initially set up as a blacksmith workshop but where dangerous weapons were being fabricated.

 

 

The police commissioner said some of the locally fabricated equipment use AK 47 prohibited ammunition.

 

 

The suspects have denied the allegations saying they only manufacture dane guns for hunters.
