Governors of the All Progressive Congress APC will visit Plateau state on Friday to commiserate with the government and people of the state over last weekend’s incident which saw over 100 people massacred by suspected herdsmen.

Chairman of the APC governors forum and governor of Imo state Rochas Okorocha yesterday said the governors were pained by the unfortunate incident of loss of lives and properties and would go on a fact finding mission to the state to seek necessary ways of putting the situation under control.

“I, with the rest of the governors of APC condemn in its entirety these unwarranted killings of innocent souls, and shedding of blood. We have called them insurgents, we’ve called them Boko Haram, we have called them all kinds of baptismal names and because the situation is not properly defined, most people hide under the cloak of religion of Christianity or Islam to create harm.

“No religion on earth, not even Christianity or Islam would warrant anyone to take anyone’s life. So this is not indeed a religious issue.

Okorocha called on Nigerians to join hands to fight he war against the rampaging herdsmen as according to him ‘nationalism and religious differences have been the loophole with which these criminals operate.
