International flights to and from Nigeria will now resume on the 5th of September as against 29th August as earlier announced by the Federal Government.
It would be recalled that the Presidential Task Force on COVID 19 had earlier announced that international flights were scheduled to resume on 29th August, following the compliance of the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria FAAN to laid down COVID 19 protocols.
But in a statement on its Twitter handle Thursday evening, FAAN said the planned resumption has been shifted by a week to allow for full preparation of airlines to adhere to health guidelines.
“We regret to announce that the international flight resumption earlier scheduled to resume on 29th August has been shifted to 5th September 2020.”
