The All Progressives Congress (APC) has alleged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was planning to use branded vehicles with Tinubu/Shettima campaign organisation colours to commit crimes.

It said the plan was to implicate the ruling party in orchestrated crimes, including thuggery, robbery and murder.

The Director of Special Media Projects, Special Media Operations and New Media of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign, Femi Fani-Kayode, alleged this in a statement on Monday.

He alleged as many as 200 vehicles branded with Tinubu/Shettima colours have been parked in front of Atiku Abubakar’s campaign in preparation for distribution across the nation.

According to him: ‘’The purpose for the branding of cars with the Tinubu/Shettima colours & logo by @atiku and his @OfficialPDPNig goons is to commit heinous crimes including thuggery, robbery and murder, with those vehicles in an attempt to implicate the Tinubu/Shettima PCC and the @APCPresCC2022.

‘’Some of those cars were parked in front of Atiku’s campaign headquarters in preparation for distribution all over the country.

‘’Our intelligence unit has uncovered the fact that no less than 200 vehicles were purchased and branded by Atiku for this dastardly plot.

‘’We urge members of the public to be cautious and careful and we demand that the security agencies should caution Atiku personally and bring all those behind this evil plot to justice.’’

But the Atiku/Okowa campaign described the allegation as laughable.

A spokesperson for the Atiku/Okowa campaign, Kola Ologbondiyan, said some supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been converting their campaign offices and vehicles into the Atiku/Okowa campaign colours.

Ologbondiyan, who responded in a WhatsApp message on Monday, said many APC supporters have since crossed over to the PDP in the course of the campaigns.

He said: “This is laughable! It doesn’t make any form of sense because Nigerians can see the throng of APC supporters converting their campaign offices and vehicles into the Atiku/Okowa’s colours.

“Nigerians are also aware that at almost every APC rally, Nigerians, including APC members, have been openly responding ‘Sai Atiku’ whenever APC leaders shout ‘Nigeria’.

“Only those on a voyage of misadventure are pretending not ro know that Nigerians have almost reached the consensus of electing Atiku Abubakar as President, come February 25”.
