The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is not in talks with Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, according to Diran Onifade, Head of Media for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council.
Onifade stated in a Wednesday statement in Abuja that claims of Obi discussing stepping down for Atiku are “totally false and baseless.”
Despite reports of Atiku claiming he was in talks with Obi and another presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, the LP candidate is not negotiating with anyone and remains the frontrunner in the race.
The statement emphasized that the goal is to win the election and create a new Nigeria without lies, corruption, and selfishness.
