West Ham United’s striker Danny Ings scored his first two goals for the club in a resounding 4-0 victory against fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest.

The win lifted West Ham out of the Premier League relegation zone. Ings, who made his first start since his transfer from Aston Villa for 15 million pounds in January, scored his first goal in the 70th minute after he struck a cross from Jarrod Bowen past keeper Keylor Navas.

He added a second goal in the 73rd minute by bundling home a cross from Said Benrahma. Declan Rice further raised the volume at the London Stadium by scoring a sumptuous shot from outside the area in the 78th minute after a slow first half.

Substitute Michail Antonio completed West Ham’s biggest win of the season in all competitions by heading in a cross from Pablo Fornals.

The win took West Ham up to 16th place in the standings with 23 points, temporarily easing the pressure on manager David Moyes. Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, are in 13th place with 25 points.
