Adamawa CP Vows To Arrest Culprits Behind Attack On INEC National Commissioner, Others

The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde has deployed operatives of the Command to carry out discreet investigation against political gangsters and their instigators that attacked the INEC National Commissioner Professor A A Zuru who was deployed to the state for national assignment on Saturday.

This was made known by the Adamawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, in a statement shared on the command’s Twitter handle on Monday.

He said those deployed are to check and arrest the culprits and their instigators and to make them face the full wrath of the law.

The statement read, “Attack on INEC national commissioner, others:- CP vowed to arrest culprits. Adamawa State Commissioner of Police Election CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde, has deployed operatives of the Command #PoliceNG #Princemoye1 #Ppro_Adamawa drawn from the State Criminal Investigation Department, Special Rapid Response Team, and other tactical squads to carry out discreet investigation against political gangsterism and their instigators that attacked the INEC National Commissioner Professor A A Zuru who was deployed to the state for national assignment.

”Those deployed are to checkmate and arrest the culprits, their Instigators and to make them face the full wrath of the Law. The CP has equally directed the Deputy Commissioner of police in charge of CID to lead the Investigation team and ensure diligent Prosecution. The CP while re-emphasising the firm determination of the Command in ensuring the safety of lives and property, sought the full cooperation of members of the public for the restoration of peace. He particularly asked political leaders to talk to their supporters to shun all forms of violence and key into the command’s effort in maintaining peace.

“He further calls on members of the public to report any suspicious character around them to the nearest police station.
