Jude Attah the is Chief Executive Officer at Phronesis TV, the founder of the International Designers and Design Conference and the Executive Director at House of Phronesis. He is the organiser at Calabar Fashion Week.

International Designers And Design Conference IDDC, was founded in 2011 by the founder and President of Phronesis Fashion World, Mr Jude Attah to provide networking opportunities for African Designers, brands and design Startups on the global stage. 

In this interview with Ipledge2Nigeria.net Webteam in Lagos, he talks about the upcoming International Designers And Design Conference IDDC, holding in Oriental Hotel on the 20th of May 2023, 

Speaking on the upcoming conference, Chief Executive Officer at Phronesis, Jude Attah disclosed that “the International Designers And Design Conference IDDC, is a platform designed to inspire and empower emerging Designers in the creative world, by creating a financial networking platform, design thinking skills, effective marketing strategy, training, branding and promotion to revolutionise the creative industry.”

 “We are helping emerging design entrepreneurs and existing design experts rediscover more opportunities in new marketplaces. Thereby making it easier to access funds to grow their Startups.” 

On the importance, value and objectives of the IDDC event, Attah  further, explained that apart from interfacing Startup designers with Venture Capital/financial investors, is aimed at Creating Professional networking opportunities for business startups.”

“Emerging entrepreneurs will be connected with business and professional mentors. Designers will also be connected with technical, financial and industrial experts, to increase their value creation.”

We are partnering with institutions that will build startup incubation ecosystems and venture capital labs for emerging designers to discover and unveil the Most Valuable Products (MVPs) and cutting-edge designs from African Startups, for both public and private sector development, as well as the opportunity to export creativity.”

On what makes the IDDC event different from other Fashion shows, the Executive Director, House of Phronesis said this is not just the regular fashion event that deals only with fashion designers. But it is a creative event that promotes innovators and inventors in the software industry, hardware industry, architectural industry, Art and Craft industry, Interior Design industry, Fashion design industry as well as other creative startups not just in Nigeria, but in Africa and beyond.”

“We are using this opportunity and medium to invite Nigerians in the private, corporate and creative industry as well as government agencies to attend the forthcoming IDDC event holding on the 20th of May 2023. As we have lined up A list speakers in the different design industries, as well as venture capital/financial investors who will be on the lookout at the event for the latest and newest startup ideas to invest in”, he added.
