Rema shuts down India, causes traffic in New Delhi

Popular Nigerian Afrobeat musician Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, has created a ton of traffic in India for his tour.

Recall that Rema announced his upcoming three-day tour of India on his Instagram page sometime in April 2023. The tour will take place from May 12 to May 14.

Well, yesterday was the first day of his tour in the country, and the video making rounds on social media captured how the singer shut down India.

Rema who is the first Nigerian singer to ever have a tour in an Asia country was said to have caused huge traffic in the city of New Delhi, India because of his sold-out show.

“From Benin see wetin Rema cause for India, all the way from Benin, see wetin that small boy cause for India,” a voice in the background voice said.

A later video showed Rema receiving a lot of support from Indians while singing his song “calm down,” as majority of them grooved and danced to his music.

Other noteworthy events include Rema’s inclusion in the Guinness Book of Records for his smash tune “Calm Down.”

The song recently reached No. 1 on the Official MENA Chart, making history as the first No. 1 hit on a regional streaming chart.

The accomplishment is a key turning point for @heisrema, who has rapidly emerged as a rising star in the music business.
