Havertz is willing to join Real Madrid

According to reports, Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz is considering moving to Real Madrid because he is unhappy with the direction the Blues are taking under co-owner Todd Beohly.

According to Relevo, Havertz could be a cheaper option for Real Madrid as compared to Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, who could cost above €100 million in transfer fees.

The 23-year-old was used by both former Chelsea managers Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter as a No. 9 but has failed to impress.

He joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2020 for a fee of €80 million including add-ons.

Havertz has scored just nine times in 47 games across competitions for Chelsea this season.

Real Madrid, however, views the Germany international as a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema, whose future is currently undecided.

Havertz’s contract with Chelsea will expire in the summer of 2025.
