The date of the new monthly pension payment from the federal government to retirees in parastatals run by the Ministry of Power and Transportation has been changed.

This was announced in a statement on Friday by Mr. Gbenga Ajayi, Director of Corporate Communications at the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD).

He claims that the start date for the back-end computation project for pensioners that was previously set for July has been moved to August 2023.

He added that in order to address all the logistical concerns that had negatively impacted production and other problems, the implementation date had to be changed.

“The directorate has announced that the implementation of the new monthly pension derived from there will commence in the August payroll as against July earlier proposed,” he said.
