The federal government has authorized the payment of a unique allowance of N25,000 to medical practitioners working in federally funded clinics, hospitals, and medical facilities.

A document titled “Accoutrement allowance for medical and dental doctors in hospitals, medical centers, and clinics in federal MDAs” dated July 26, 2023, contained the clearance.

The Nigerian Medical Association’s (NMA) president,
, stated that the organization was appreciative that the government had taken action with reference to one of its agreements and that it expected the full fulfillment of the agreements they had.

The Federal Government had authorized the payment of an accoutrement allowance of N25,000 each quarter to medical and dental providers, according to a letter announcing the allowance on Thursday.
