The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has made it known that it intends to run in and maybe win the local government elections held next year.

Wasiu Olawale Sadare, the Oyo APC’s publicity secretary, revealed that the party would be running in the upcoming elections.

Plans to hold local government elections in the state have been completed by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC).

The election is slated to take place in April 2024, according to OYSIEC.

“The stakeholders’ meeting conducted today at our (Oke-Ado) State secretariat reached a unanimous consensus that we would participate with the goal of winning the majority of the seats up for grabs in the local government and local council development zones.

Since OYSIEC wrote to us regarding the extension of the deadline for the conduct of primary, which is now August 31, 2023, I can promise you that by the time we are finished with our final round of consultation on or before Monday, we will put out a calendar of activities.
