Super Eagles midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has become a hot commodity, attracting interest from several Italian heavyweights including Juventus, Soccernet.ng reports.
Juventus, in particular, have reportedly conducted preliminary inquiries about the 23-year-old, according to La Repubblica via Goal.
Dele-Bashiru’s impact since joining Lazio in the summer has been profound. His dynamic performances, highlighted by two goals and two assists in four Europa League matches, have firmly established him as one of the club’s standout players.
In Serie A, the former Manchester City academy player has contributed two vital goals, including one in a crucial 1-1 draw against Atalanta.
Lazio’s sporting director, Angelo Fabiani, has made it clear the club is not eager to part with their talented midfielder.
Speaking on recent transfer speculation, Fabiani said: “We were asked for Rovella, Dele-Bashiru, Nuno Tavares, Castellanos. Many are attractive on the market. We don’t have to dismantle the team, but complete it.”
Despite Lazio’s firm stance, Juventus remain undeterred, with unnamed Premier League clubs also monitoring Dele-Bashiru’s progress.
A return to England would represent a homecoming for the Hamburg-born midfielder, who spent over a decade at Manchester City’s academy before launching his professional career at Sheffield Wednesday.
