Roma star striker and former Manchester City striker, Edin Dzeko has reportedly agreed to join Chelsea.
Chelsea Manager, Antonio Conte is in search of a back-up striker to support Alvaro Morata who hasn’t lived up to expectations recently for the remainder of the 2017/18 campaign with names such as Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch and Jamie Vardy being mentioned but it’s understood the Blues are closing in on a deal for Dzeko which is good news for the Blues fans.
Italian outlet, Gianluca Di Marzio, claims Dzeko has reached an agreement with Chelsea and reportedly said “yes” to Conte over a move to Stamford Bridge butbits left to see if they can push through a deal this winter or just wait till the summer to get their man.
Chelsea football club are also keen on signing Dzeko’s team-mate at Roma, Emerson Palmieri, and talks over a double deal are set to resume next week.
It’s understood that Roma want a combined fee of around £44million from Chelsea for the duo, while out-of-favour forward Michy Batshuayi could complete a loan move in the opposite direction.
