Opposition People’s Democratic Party PDP has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to take urgent steps against those responsible for the killing of 7 Fulani’s in Benue state, as well as the numerous killing of farmers by herders across the country.

 

Kola Ologbondiyan, party spokesman in a statement said; “Buhari must address the insecurity challenges. He must rise to the occasion as the C-n-C of this great country.

 

“The killings of 7 Fulani men in Gboko, Benue state stands condemned in the strongest terms possible”.

 

It is yet to be seen how the Federal Government will address the growing conflict between Fulani herdsmen and local farming communities.

 

It would be recalled that on the 1st of January this year, Fulani herdsmen attacked and killed over 70 people in two local governments in Benue state. The killings sparked a nationwide outrage.
