At first it was the handsome ladies’ man Majid Michelle who heralded the scene of an actor turning evangelist. Of course there could be couple of others before him, but his was more pronounced considering his good looks and the kind of roles he plays as an actor — “lover boy”. Within a short time we heard him say that his new calling wouldn’t stop him from acting even though there are some roles he won’t be taking up again because of how sensitive they are to his calling.
As if that was not enough, Tonto Dike swiftly came to the scene with her own brand of evangelism after having a break-up with her ex-hubby (Churchill) telling social media enthusiasts of her new found life in Christ, and how she has turned a new leaf. She didn’t end it there. She went ahead to highlight the things she and her foundation were doing to contribute their quota to the society. Some viewed her contributions as one of her quests to earn cheap fame. Irrespective of the motive we’ve observed that she has been able to carve a niche for herself in her own line of evangelism. Ride on lady evangelist!
Mercy Johnson decided to live in silence after getting married to her husband, Okogie, but her inspirational lines on social media especially that which she rendered to Tonto Dike which captures how she (Mercy) has been praying for her (Tonto) is touching enough to label her prayer evangelist. She perhaps might have been called into the prayer unit of this evangelistic enterprise.
Of course, the last on our list is Eucharia Anunobi. The actress has recently returned to her acting career six months after the death of her son. Report has it that she has recently made her return back to Nollywood as well as preaching the gospel in all her travels. Recently, she shared a touching message to everyone who has supported her during her trying times. Read:
