Eulogies for late Senator John Shagaya who died in a car crash recently, has continued to pour in, this time from the national assembly.

The senate during plenary today apart from observing a minute silence for the late ex-soldier also urged the Federal Government to immortalize Senator John Shagaya, by naming a National monument in his honour.

The lawmakers resolved to send a high powered delegation from the hallowed chamber to condole with the family, the people and Government of Plateau state.

In his eulogy message, Senator James Manager form Delta state described Senator Shagaya as a man who contributed his own quota of national development to Nigeria.

He lamented the state of roads in Nigeria and regretted that there seems to be no solution to remedying it yet.

“He was a man who contributed his own quota of national development to Nigeria. The road sector is key, even if you have to use a plane you would still use road to the airport, the Nigerian roads are very bad and it seems there’s no solution to it at all,” he said.

Another Plateau state senator Jonah David Jang says the late Shagaya will be remembered for his dialogues.
