A founding member of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and former Education Minister Professor Tunde Adeniran says he is dumping the PDP due to a lack of internal democracy.
Prof Adeniran, who only recently was a national chairmanship candidate in the December 9 convention of the party, said he was leaving the party for the Social Democratic Party SDP and will soon be joined by other notable chieftains of the party.
“I have left the PDP for the SDP with my supporters. I left because there is no internal democracy in the PDP. It may interest you to know that Prof. Jerry Gana has also left the PDP,” he said.
According to Prof. Adeniran, another notable Board of Trustee member of the party Prof. Jerry Gana is also set to leave the folds of the PDP for the SDP.
