The senate today called on the Federal Government to do all in its capacity to learn to ptect the lives and properties of Nigerians across the country.
Deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu made the comments today while commiserating with the victims of yesterday’s massacre in Zamfara state, where about 60 people lost their lives.
Ekweremadu said “We send our condolences to the people and families of the victims in Zamfara State. We are worried about what is happening in Zamfara State, a Committee headed by Senate Leader was sent to the State. The Government needs to protect the lives and property of its people.”
The senate observed a minute silence for the victims.
