In this 2018 Headie Award we are going to experience many surprises especially in the Hip-hop category. This category is worthy of mention because of the artists enlisted in this category.

In this category, we have the likes of Reekado Banks who won Headies Next Rated at last year Headie; Mr Eazi who also won the Headies 2017 Next Rated category, Adekunle Gold, whose song “Ire” is currently making wave all around the country and beyond and a winner of number of awards at the Headies in number of categories, Niniola capped it all for this category.

Entertainment lovers are still yet to recover from the stunt she pulled last year, 2017, when she gave fans what many consider her best ever track she titled “Maradona”. Now who will emerge the winner of this category having mentioned their antecedents?

You may give it to Reekado because of some of the hit tracks he recorded between last year and this year; the notable amongst them “Jeje” and the most recent “like” where he featured Tiwa Salvage. You may be rooting for him just as many are but do you think he can emerge? Do you think he can outwit the likes of Adekunle Gold, Niniola and Mr Eazi?

Adekunle Gold a household name, you can’t mention any major big wig in the Nigeria contemporary entertainment scene without mentioning his name. Mr Eazi last year’s Next Rated Winner who has not produced anything really thrilling like his fans had expected after the award.  He went underground and still struggling to deliver something convincing to his fans, or Niniola that entertainment lovers are still yet to recover from the stunt she pulled last year, 2017. Nigerian entertainment lovers who do you think would emerge the winner of this category? Or are you not too sure? Let’s have your take in this matter.
