Nigeria’s senate president Bukola Saraki says he is deeply saddened by the loss of innocent lives at Wednesday evening’s tanker explosion on the Otedola bridge along the Lagos Ibadan road in Lagos state.

Saraki in a twitter message wished the injured a speedy recovery as well condoling with families who lost their loved ones.

“I am deeply saddened about the tanker accident that occurred along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway yesterday that led to tragic loss of lives. I pray for strength and comfort for all the families that have been affected by this accident, and wish the injured a quick recovery.”
