Buhari: I am proud of my second term cabinet

The presidency has celebrated the first anniversary of President Muhammadu Buhari’s second cabinet.

Among the president’s achievement listed by the presidency is the signing of the controversial CAMA which has been fiercely opposed by many Nigerians.
The president was also commended for returning the budget implementation cycle to January-to-December .


The presidency has proudly given its voice to the successes of President Muhammadu Buhari’s second cabinet after one year of inaugurating it.

From its Twitter page on Friday, August 21, the presidency recalled that exactly one year ago in 2019, the president set up a new cabinet to run for another four years after he won the last presidential election.

Among the institutions established by the president to kick-start his second administration are ministries, including Police Affairs and Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

The presidency also mentioned that President Buhari, apart from signing the finance bill to reform domestic tax laws and introduce tax incentives for investments in infrastructure, he also returned the budget implementation cycle to January-to-December by signing the 2020 appropriation bill in 2019.

The president was also celebrated for releasing the sum of N10 billion for the upgrade of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu and also for ordering a forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Added to this, President Buhari approved the release of N10 billion grant to the Lagos state government and N5 billion grant to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), to support the Coronavirus response.

He also gave presidential assent to a bill that amended the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA).
