Nigerian musician Falz score a goal at Old Trafford

Folarin Falana, a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and actor better known by his stage name Falz, rose to the top of the trends after finding the back of the net at Old Trafford.

On Wednesday, May 25, 2022, the 31-year-old entertainer was on target in a charity match.

Before the game, Falz stated that playing at the Theatre of Dreams was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

In a post on his official Instagram account he wrote, “This is that once in a lifetime kind a moment! Got to play at Old Trafford VS an all-star UK team earlier today. I am an Arsenal fan but this is still a dreaaaam.”

Falz scored Team Regal’s third goal against an All-Star UK team and celebrated like Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Falz took to his official Instagram account after scoring at Old Trafford to make his case for the Ballon D’or.

Along with a video of his goal was a message that said, “Nominate this guy for Ballon D’or already Abeg!!! Guess who scored a goal at Old Trafford today.”

“The exclusive charity game day powered by Regal FC – the institute of contemporary football culture – brings together two teams, curated from all four corners of the globe, to compete in an 80-minute charity game at the Theatre of Dreams.

“From cultural tastemakers, community change-makers, leading grassroots teams and all-star talent across the world, the two match day squads each include a dedicated Manchester United legend. With treble-winning duo Andrew Cole and Wes Brown managing Team UK and double-winning French striker Louis Saha taking control of Team World.

“Whilst representatives from some of the most important and inspiring grassroots teams from around the globe, including Grenfell Athletic, Under The Radar FC, Alive & Kicking FC and Coats & Goalposts, feature in the squads to celebrate those who continue to push the game forward and show football as a source of light, colour and positivity.

“The winner of the Regal FC Global Game Day will claim a £4000 cheque to support a localised community initiative, with the runner-up receiving a further £1000 for their chosen initiative.”
