The executive director of Parla, George Farmer has made it known that Ye’s deal will ‘change the way the world thinks about free speech.’ He goes ahead to say ‘Ye is making a groundbreaking move into the free speech media space and will never have to fear being removed from social media again.’

On Monday, the social network announced Kanye’s interest to buy the platform. Parler is popular in United States and has gained so much popularity in this region.

According to Parler, the American rapper made a statement that says, ‘In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,’ and Parler says they are a viewpoint-neutral social media dedicated to freedom of expression, civil discourse, and user privacy, which makes it look like the aim of both parties align, hence, the collaboration shouldn’t be a surprise.

Parler was launched in 2018 and it became a home for US citizens who were loyal supporters of former president, Donald Trump. It was also home to people who have been restricted from other social media platforms especially Twitter.
