At the conclusion of the World Cup final in Qatar, celebrity chef Salt Bae and a number of others gained “undue access” to the pitch. Fifa is looking into how this happened.

Salt Bae, the Turkish culinary expert whose genuine name is Nusret Gokce, was imagined holding and kissing the World Cup prize while commending with Argentina players after their success over France.

The trophy can only be held by a “very select” group of individuals, according to Fifa rules, which include tournament winners, Fifa officials, and heads of state.

A spokesperson for Fifa stated in a statement to BBC Sport, ” Fifa has been investigating how people gained unauthorized access to the pitch following the closing ceremony at Lusail stadium on December 18.

“We will take the appropriate internal action.”

Salt Bae is the owner of a luxury steakhouse chain. In 2017, his method for preparing and seasoning meat became a meme on the internet.

Salt Bae’s restaurants have served meals to numerous current and former footballers, including Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and David Beckham.

He uploaded a video of himself embracing Fifa president Gianni Infantino in November during the World Cup. He was later seen in VIP seats at a game alongside Brazil legends Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, and Cafu.

In the frantic moments following Argentina’s victory, when the chef tried to get Messi’s attention, he appeared to ignore Salt Bae.
