Anon-governmental organisation, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Lagos Metropolitan has unveiled plans for the fourth edition of its forthcoming football tournament tagged ‘Founders Cup’ later in the year.
This marked the climax of the first monthly general assembly for the year held recently in Lagos.
The local organisation, led by Oluwabusayo Adegoke, unveiled the jersey for the tournament recognised as one of the organisation’s flagship programmes.
Adegoke alongside council of past presidents and members of JCI Lagos Metropolitan received JCI President Viktor Omarsson, and National President JCIN Amb Abdullahi Attairu Bala.
She reiterated the objective of the local organisation to reignite the passion for the organisation, and empower members of the organisation through various capacity development initiatives to lead.
JCI President Omarsson dwelled on the theme for the year ‘Guided by Purpose’ while National President Abdullahi Attairu Baba expressed his excitement upon visiting the Doyen for the first time and meeting with the new crop of members.
The assembly also featured presentation of gifts and awards to distinguished guests and leaders.
Three new members were also inducted into the local organisation.
2023 JCI Nigeria General Legal Counsel, JCIN Amb Adeyanju Adeonipekun took the gathering on an insightful session on Omoiyari: The Sustainable Tool for Leadership, where he laid emphasis on the need for leaders to be compassionate and selfless.
The local organisation played host to Executive Vice President for Africa and the Middle East, Achille Sonekphon; AMDEC Chairperson, Tetiwe Nzima; JCI Secretary General, Kevin Hin and Director for Growth and Development for Africa and the Middle East, JCI Senator Tunji Oyeyemi.
