Easter: Yahaya Declares Friday, Monday Public Holidays In Gombe

The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has declared Friday 7 and Monday April 10 as public holidays to mark the 2023 Easter celebration.

This was contained in a statement on Thursday signed by Yakubu Mamman, for Head of the State’s Civil Service. 

He stated that the head of the Civil Service wishes the Christian community and civil servants in the state, a peaceful celebration.

He noted that essential service would be maintained throughout the period while workers are to resume on Tuesday, April 11

“I am directed to inform you that His Excellency, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Danmajen Gombe) Governor, Gombe State has approved Friday, 7 and Monday, 10 April, 2023 as Public Holidays to celebrate this year’s Good Friday and Easter Monday respectively.

“Accordingly, the Head of Civil Service wishes all Civil Servants and the entire Christian Community in the State a peaceful celebration of the occasions.

“Meanwhile, all essential services will be maintained throughout the Public Holidays and Civil Servants are to resume work on Tuesday, 11″ April, 2023, please,” Mamman stated.
