Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first mother, has said she wants to rename their daughter Imade sans the singer’s last name.

Momodu announced her wish to give their daughter the last name Momodu rather than Adeleke in an interaction with supporters.

She argued that since she served as both Imade’s mother and father, it was best for the young child to drop her last name.

Another fan, Mheedey said: “Mama they will come for you now ooo. Blogs will start misinterpreting this.”

Replying, the mother of one wrote: “Lol our elders say the truth in bitter, I haven’t even started yet.”

Finally, Grace stated: “Blogger will screenshot this reply and Nigerians will drag you…. When they literally have no idea what you do for your child. Smh!”

Responding, Sophia noted: “I don’t know any educated, intelligantigerian that has had anything negative to say to a woman that natively plays the role of Mon & Dad all by herself. The rest oan set up a go fund me if they’re really pressed.”

Last month, Momodu in a lengthy post which elicited response from the DMW boss, called out irresponsible fathers.

While she gave out a long rant about men who financially bully women just to keep them silent, she also threatened to break silence on an undisclosed issue relating to the singer.

Reacting to the post, Davido accompanying an image from his ‘Unavailable’ video and a line from the song noted: “I don’t have time for wahala.”
