Real Madrid defender David Alaba reportedly wants to leave Carlo Ancelotti’s side amid interest from Premier League giants Manchester United, according to El Nacional.

The report added that manager Ancelotti has not been happy with Alaba’s performances recently.

Man United manager Erik ten Hag is confident in convincing Alaba to join the Red Devils.

Alaba joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2021.

The 31-year-old has since made 85 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring five goals and registering seven assists.

The Austrian made 39 appearances across competitions for Madrid last season, bagging two goals and three assists.

His contract will expire in the 2025-26 season, and the player is said to be valued at €40 million.

Man United have recently signed the likes of Raphael Varane and Casemiro from Real Madrid.
