Unknown Gunmen in South Africa Attack a Police Station, Injuring an Officer

On Sunday, July 16 at night, 12 unidentified gunmen raided a South African police station, injuring one officer in the process.

According to South African Police, officers were able to prevent the 12 heavily armed men from entering the building, despite one constable being shot and hurt in the struggle.

Twelve heavily armed unidentified guys invaded the police station while wearing uniforms.

The suspects were making their way to the armoury.

Officers on patrol, however, intervened.

According to South African Police Service spokesperson Athlenda Mathe, the suspects were able to flee during a confrontation with the police.

“Police officers on patrol foiled the attempted entry into the building.” During the confrontation, one of the members, a constable, was shot and injured. He had since been taken to the hospital for medical treatment.”
