Conor Gallagher, a midfielder for Chelsea, is expected to leave the team this summer as Spurs and West Ham are the front-runners to get him.

Even though Gallagher scored in Chelsea’s previous two preseason victories over Brighton and Wrexham, respectively, they have decided that he is no longer necessary.

After selling Declan Rice to Arsenal, the Evening Standard reports that West Ham is “ready to push ahead of Tottenham” in their pursuit of two midfielders.

While Tottenham is in need of homegrown talent and a potential successor for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who is rumored to be moving to Atletico Madrid, Tottenham may be the more alluring option for Gallagher

Gallagher was keen to stay and fight for his place at Chelsea under manager Mauricio Pochettino, but accepts that he needs to leave as the west London club are unwilling to offer him a new deal.
