Former Super Falcons goalkeeper Racheal Ayegba thinks either way his nation and England can win their 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Round of 16 match.

At Brisbane’s Lang Park on Monday, the Super Falcons and the Three Lionesses will compete for a spot in the quarterfinals.

The much awaited match will begin at 8:30 a.m. Nigerian time.

England, the defending European champions, will start the match as the clear favorites after winning all three of their group matches.

The team led by Sarina Wiegman has conceded twice and scored eight goals.

Nonetheless, Ayegba, who played for Nigeria from 2001 to 2010, maintained that his nation had a chance to defeat England.

“Every team has a weak point, and injuries are a problem right now for England.” Ayegba

“When Nigeria beat Australia, the hosts actually played well but we over-powered them with our strength and power.

“That’s our weapon that we have to use. If we can do that, then the game is 50/50.”
