Nigerian Twitter users across the world have come heavily against the Nigerian Police Force for saying it will investigate Comedian Cute Abiola for portraying force in bad light.
Most of them who took to their official Twitter handles criticised the Force for turning a blind eye to the activities of police officers who have continuously brought the image of its officers to disrepute.
Others lamented that months after
MC Oluomo threatened non-Yoruba in Lagos that he had not been arrested. Neither has Asari Dokubo who currently has a legion of militia been arrested by security agents.
Speaking against the decision to probe Cute Abiola, popular Nigerian activist Rinu Oduala said: Perhaps you face your criminals in uniform who are kïlling citizens for N100 on the road and stop chasing red herrings @Princemoye1
Citizens like Cute Abiola only help portray the corruption and criminality you try to whitewash.
“Rubbishing the police institution” indeed!
Another Twitter user Egbunna Obinna started “And they should not forget that Asari Dokubo needs to be arrested as well. You can pick and choose who to arrest and who not to! We are all NIGERIANS
Politely questioning the force PRO, and the Lagos State Police PRO
@BenHundeyin, Babs said “Allow me to ask you this question directly. Why haven’t the police invited, investigated, or arrested the man seen brandishing a pistol in an online video?
YET the police are quick to point out Cute Abiola comedy video, truth be told, this is not fair.”
Also questioning the police decision to probe Cute Abiola, Enoch Mario said: “Oga police, no vex, I get one question
Is it the guy’s crime that he used something resembling the NPF uniform to act what the police do?
Because wetin Cute Abiola dey act about d police is 100% oooo”
Pissed by the actions of the police, Amrex Wakanda said: “For you who don’t know him, he never claim to be a Muslim, many have said worse why didn’t you call Police and DSS on MC Oluomo, Dayo Onanuga, El-Rufai, FKK, Keyamo etc stop all this hypocritical primordial prejudice and focus on ur party, We have freedom of expression in Nigeria.”
Mocking the Nigerian Police Chukwuma Umeorah said: “They wrote all this epistle for a comedian delivering his art while the likes of Asari Dokubo, MC Oluomo who have severally openly threatened National security walk free… Nawa o”
While Limitless @Cristein8  stated that “The skit is a prototype of the heinous atrocities perpetrated by some men of your service on the Nigerian Highways but you chose aphonia… To think you want to investigate this but muted over the threat unleashed by Mc Oluomo and the wielding of arms on
It will be recalled that the reactions and criticism is sequel to the statement by Olumuyiwa Adejobi
