On Thursday, hundreds of Ore residents in Ondo State’s Odigbo Local Council Area expressed their dissatisfaction with the constant flooding of their homes.

Residents who invaded the council boss’s apartment, Magaret Akinsuroju Akinsuroju, to protest the catastrophic flooding, demanded quick action.

The protest followed torrential rain on Wednesday, which caused rivers to overflow their banks.

Flooding devastated communities such as Government Field, Harrison, and Di Mango, among others.

The Lagos-Benin highway’s Ore axis was also extensively flooded, causing significant traffic congestion and forcing commuters to endure lengthy waits.

While responding to the citizens’ complaints, Akinsuroju assured them that she had already informed the Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, about the occurrence.
