Daystar Peterson, also known as Tory Lanez, a Canadian rapper, was given a ten-year prison term for killing Megan Thee Stallion, a female American coworker.
On Tuesday, a judge in Los Angeles imposed the prison term.
In December 2022, the rapper was found guilty of two crimes and assault with a semi-automatic weapon when Megan Thee Stallion took him to court for shooting her in the feet during a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in 2020.
Megan testified that Lanez shot at the back of her feet and told her to “Dance, bitch” when she was walking away from an SUV that was carrying them in 2020.
The prosecutors demanded 13-year imprisonment for the hip-hop star but the jury instead passed a 10-year jail sentence.
