Akande Abosede Esther, a potential National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) volunteer with the call-up number NYSC/IFE/2023/201810 (Batch B stream 2), has been abducted in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

According to reports, Miss Akande, an Obafemi Awolowo University graduate with a degree in education and English, was abducted on August 16, 2023, as she was traveling to the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Magaji Dan Yanusa Keffi, Nasarawa State.

Punch reports that the kidnappers have now gotten in touch with Akande’s family and are requesting a N1 million ransom.
