On Friday, September 8, a United Nigeria Airlines plane veered off the runway at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), creating a panic among travelers.

On Runway 18 Left, the incident took place at around 7:35 p.m. as the airport was experiencing heavy rain. The plane reportedly overshot the mark by 200 meters as it was heading back from Owerri, Imo State.

 

 

No casualty was recorded in the incident.

The airline and the airport authorities are yet to react to the incident.
