1 Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad, was a well-known singer from Nigeria. Music executive Ovie announced the information to the public today, September 12, 2023, on Ofofoloaded.com. He was born on June 8, 1996, and is a rapper, singer, and songwriter from Lagos, Nigeria. His contract with Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” expired in 2022, and he later departed the company.

2. On Tuesday, the organized labor threatened to go on an extended strike if the federal government did not agree to its demands by the end of a 21-day deadline, which will pass in about a week. 6. Hon. Justice Mohammed Tukur-led Panel 1 of the National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Jos on Tuesday upturned the election of Hon. Beni Lar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the member representing Langtang North/South Fed constituency. The National Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal also nullified the election of a two-term member of the House of Representatives in Plateau State, Dachung Musa Bagos.

Kidnappers of eight Akwa Ibom State graduates, abducted in Zamfara State on their way to Sokoto State for the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Orientation Camp, have demanded an additional N200 million as ransom, after collecting N13 million earlier paid by the victims’ families. The victims, who were kidnapped on August 17, have spent 26 days in the kidnappers’ den.

8. The Benue State government, on Tuesday, confirmed the abduction of 10 passengers from two Benue Links vehicles near Okene, Kogi State on their way to Lagos last Sunday. The government also said 20 others, including two drivers and 18 passengers, were safe and reached their various destinations in Lagos.

A former deputy governor of Kogi State, Arc Yomi Awoniyi has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the November 11 governorship election in the State. This was contained in a statement by Governor Yahaya Bello‘s Chief Press Secretary, Mohammed Onogwu on Tuesday in Lokoja.

10. A 40-year-old man, Ibrahim Umar, has been arrested for allegedly killing two casual workers in Taranka village, Gamawa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, for ritual purposes. The suspect was said to have come to the said Taranka village for charcoal business, and in the course of his stay, the two persons went missing.
