According to local media estimates, at least 150 Israelis have died since Hamas began its onslaught on the nation this morning.

In contrast, barely over a half-hour ago, Israeli medical personnel recorded 100 dead.

The health ministry noted that there have now been over 1,100 injuries, up from 985 previously.

In the meantime, authorities in the Gaza Strip said that 198 Palestinians had perished as a result of Israeli airstrikes in retaliation.

They claimed that 1,610 Palestinians had suffered injuries.
