Nearly 4 months have passed since the president invited Adeniyi to serve as the acting chief executive of the Nigeria Customs Service.

This information was revealed in a statement made by Willie Bassey, Director of Information for the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), on Friday, October 20, 2023. He stated that the appointment is effective as of October 19, 2023.

The President has given Bassey the duty of applying his vast knowledge to his new assignment, he said, adding that his term is in compliance with the PSR’s (Public Service Rules) current rules.
