Victor Osimhen’s contract with Napoli expires in 2025, although club president Aurelio de Laurentiis has suggested that Napoli are willing to selling him before then.

In a news conference, De Laurentiis made the implication that negotiations with Osimhen about a new contract had stalled because the player’s “mood has changed” over his future with the team.

He said that the 24-year-old might wind up being traded, similar to defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

De Laurentiis remarked, “I have never lost my composure when it comes to Osimhen, but it takes two to tango.

I remain the same; if his mood has changed, then there’s not much I can do about that.

“It would be upsetting if things changed after shaking hands. Although we consider it, life carries on.

“We get along well with him, and the deal is good until 2025. Remember that I rushed to sell [Kalidou] Koulibaly.

The Nigerian striker, whose price tag is reputedly £150 million, has been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Real Madrid.
