Showmax’s new reality TV show, Bae Beyond Borders, premieres this October

Bae Beyond Borders, a new dating reality TV show from Showmax, follows four aspiring South African ladies as they go out on a special quest to find love. They are looking for a Nigerian man to date and eventually wed. The program will started streaming on October 23, 2023.

Zezethu Mniki, Nande Ramcwana, Malibongwe Gumede, and Vuvu Maseti are participants in the reality television program. Twelve bachelors from diverse walks of life in Nigeria would be available for the girls to choose from. They will decide together which eight men from online speed dating they think have impressed them the most before flying to Nigeria to meet them in person.

The women decide to take just one man home with them out of their eight favorites. To determine whether they want to continue being a relationship, they relocate to a stunning villa near Cape Town. The four candidates’ ability to find love across boundaries is still up for debate.

Zezethu Mniki, a 34-year-old introvert from Johannesburg, describes herself as such. “I’m a reserved but also a gregarious person. I enjoy getting dressed up, doing makeup, and having a good time. I adore people, enjoy being around them, nature, animals, and I frequently participate in outdoor activities. I also like exploring new locations and meeting individuals from various cultures.

Nande Ramcwana, a 24-year-old resident of the Eastern Cape, with an advanced diploma in public management and a diploma in local government finance. She presently works as a content developer, social media influencer, and YouTuber. She characterizes herself as energetic, self-driven, dependable, mature, and diligent.

She expressed her gratitude for the experience by saying, “Entering this program altered my life for the better. There were so many lessons I got to learn about myself, and that is invaluable. These teachings will be applied to my daily life.

Malibongwe Gumede, a 31-year-old from Midrand, commented on the drama that occurred while the show was being filmed by saying, “People need to see this show because it is really exciting, there are so many twists and turns and their jaws will be on the floor. None of it is as it seems.

Radio producer Malibongwe defines herself as a strong and vivacious woman. I enjoy going out with friends for delicious cuisine, shopping, and traveling, but I can also be a bit of an introvert.

Make-up artist Vuvu Maseti, 30, from Johannesburg, emphasized how difficult the process was for her. “I am a pretty indecisive person, therefore it was hard for me to choose just one of the males. How will I live with myself if I choose the wrong course of action?

Zinzi Velelo Alake from POP24, who also produced the wildly popular reality show The Mommy Club, is the executive producer of the reality dating show.She stated, “I created this show because I found love beyond borders,” when asked why she started Bae Beyond Borders. I am a South African woman who fell in love with a Nigerian man. By fusing our two cultures, I discovered my king, and my life has been forever changed.

“The show was also created to unite Africans in love and to shine a light on a different kind of love that people usually do not get to see and I am excited for people to see it,” says Zinzi.
