The All Progressives Congress (APC), UK Chapter leadership has stated that the accusations of certificate forgery against President Bola Tinubu are unfounded and go against democracy.

The chapter’s chairman, Tunde Doherty, made the comment in a statement on Friday in response to rumors of an upcoming anti-Tinubu demonstration in London.

He referred to the President as a brilliant leader with a long and distinguished history of serving the country, calling the action a misadventure.

We’ve learned that this group is planning a demonstration in London to spread false information regarding President Bola Tinubu’s educational background.

“We firmly believe our responsibility is to address this matter and underscore the significance of relying on substantiated facts over premature and unsubstantiated allegations.

As an experienced and esteemed leader, President Bola Tinubu has a long and distinguished history of service to our wonderful country. He has consistently shown a steadfast dedication to the advancement of Nigeria and its people throughout his career.

The claims of faked credentials, according to Doherty, “undermine the spirit of democracy and fair political discourse that we hold dear, in addition to lacking concrete evidence.”

“We kindly ask everyone who intends to take part in this demonstration to think about the possible repercussions of disseminating false information and accusations.

“We propose a more constructive approach to resolving issues or concerns linked to our nation’s leadership in the spirit of constructive conversation and unity.

“Let us engage in respectful, evidence-based discussions that foster progress and maintain the dignity of our great nation.

“We extend an open invitation to anyone with genuine concerns to engage in a meaningful and informed dialogue with us, as we firmly believe in the power of informed, collaborative, and fact-based solutions to move our nation forward,” he added.
