Mercy Aigbe Adeoti disclosed this at the exclusive media premiere of the movie trailer in Genesis Cinema in Maryland on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
The film, according to her, explores the intricate story of love, and forgiveness. The film aims to unify the Igbo and the Yoruba cultures, telling us that regardless of our differences, we are one. And we should love and celebrate one another. We might have issues but we should forgive ourselves and move on.”

With “Ada omo Daddy” set to premiere on December 15 in major cinemas across the country, Mercy Aigbe noted that the world is poised to witness the next chapter of her career.
Speaking on the cost of the project, Mercy said: “It is millions of naira to produce this movie. It is a large project film. The cake alone that was used at the wedding cost about four million naira, so you can now imagine.
Explaining further, Mercy Aigbe said the cast of the film marries the old Nollywood and the new Nollywood. We have Charles Okafor, Chiewetalagu and Shola Shoboale and then we see younglings like Tomi Ojo, and Taiwo Peters, who represents the new Nollywood and if there is anything like middle Nollywood, we still have Mercy Aigbe and Adeniyi Johnson. So it is a taste of old and new Nollywood.
