In a 1-1 draw with Premier League leaders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, the Reds demonstrated their title credentials.

As was to be expected, Erling Haaland gave the home team the lead in the 27th minute, after the opening exchanges, with a goal that gave them a 1-0 advantage.

Nathan Ake, a former Chelsea defender, assisted Haaland in scoring the goal. Man City had the advantage at the break, finishing 1-0.

However, the Reds would pounce with an equalizer as talismanic Mohamed Salah rose up to the occasion to provide the assist for his side’s level in the contest.

Salah set up Trent Alexander-Arnold whose goal in the 80th minute ensured it finished 1-1 apiece between Manchester City and Liverpool.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp should be pleased with the result as they showed character to pull a 1-1 draw against the flamboyant Manchester City side.
