The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) said it did not at any time reach an agreement with the All Progressives Congress APC) over its appeal at the Supreme Court.

 

The party’s National Auditor, Ladipo Johnson disclosed this to dailynews on Saturday,

 

Ladipo added that the claim is mere rumour with no grounds.

 

Governor Abba Yusuf had appealed at the Supreme Court in response to the Court of Appeal’s judgement that affirmed the State Election Petitions Tribunal’s decision to nullify his victory in the March 18 governorship election in the state.

 

“What you hear are street talks and you can’t stop street talks from happening.”

 

“I am not sure any senior officer in the party will tell you that is necessary. We are trying to win in court and Abba Kabir Yusuf will continue to deliver good services to the people of Kano.”
