For his rare show of patriotism, Yobe state Govt Extol Tricycle Rider Who Returned 9.3 million naira

The Membership of the Yobe State House of Assembly has celebrated Mal. Bulama Ari, of Jumbam ward in Tarmuwa Local Government, Yobe State.
Malam Ari was extended an invitation by the Hon. House to join the Speaker and other distinguished Members to celebrate him as an honest gentleman.
The celebrant arrived at the Hon. House Wednesday, in the company of elders from his ward, Chairman Tricycle Riders Association Yobe State Chapter Mal. Umar Barau, friends and Family Members.
Speaking during the gathering one of the elders also a former Permanent Secretary and Member of the Yobe State Civil Service Commission Alhaji Bukar Madu Jumbam, presented Mal. Ari,  to House, stated that he Mal. Ari, found a huge amount of money and was so sincere in returning the money amounting to 9.3 Million Naira intact, forgotten by a passenger (Trader) on a market day in Dapchi recently in his Tricycle.
His ego did not lead him to take the opposite decision to claim the money that those not belong to him which was a very bold and wise decision taken during this period of economic strangulation.
He added that he did not own the tricycle rather he was just a mere hired rider called  “Soja” only for a few hours on that day when the incident happened.
The Majority leader Hon. Nasiru Hassan Yusuf and the Chief Whip Hon. Mohammed Isa Bello, spoke in length to extol the character of Mal. Ari, and above all they said he has the fair of  Allah in himself otherwise the story would be different.
In his statement, the Speaker, Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio, commended him for the maturity, fidelity and sincerity he exhibited. He said that such individuals like Mal. Ari are worthy of celebrations even though we are being guided by our religion Islam on matters like that and called on others to emulate such a good manner.
The highlight of the event was also the presentation of a cash gift of  500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) to Mal. Ari,  by the  Speaker on behalf of the entire Membership of the House.
Malam Ari who Spoke in Kanuri Language showed his appreciation to the Speaker and Membership of the House for the recognition. “Thank you for the Cash gift. Thank you, thank you ” said Ari.
