Singer Davido has lost all three categories where he got nominations for the 66th Grammy Awards – and he has since moved on.

The Nation reported that Davido’s song ‘Feel’ was nominated for the Best Global Music Performance category, ‘Timeless’ was nominated for the Album of the Year category and his ‘Unavailable’ was nominated for Best African Music Performance.

Bagging three nominations as a debut, Davido, however, was unable to win any of the nominations.

Davido, in an interview with Billboard’s Tetris Kelly at the Pre-Grammy show, just before the show started said he would go into a wild celebration if he clinches the award for the Best African Music Performance category.

Davido had stated: “I am just happy that we all get to shine. What if there was no (African) category? So, at the end of the day, we should all be happy that we have this category, something to call our own. Whoever wins, it’s okay. If I win, we are celebrating. We go crazy.”

However, female South African rapper, Tyla, won the award for her song ‘Water.’

Davido during the interview added that the African Music Category at the premier global music award was long overdue.
