Tobi Amusan Wins Women’s 100m Hurdles Round 1 At African Games

Nigerian sprint Queen, , Tobi Amusan has once again made Nigerians proud as she won the round 1 heat of the Women’s 100M Hurdles at the ongoing All-African games.

 

With an impressive hit of 13.03s, she secures her spot in the semi-finals happening tonight, March 20th, 2024.

 

In January 2024, the 26-year-old hurdler became the current world record holder in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 12.12 seconds which she set at the 2022 women’s 100-meter hurdles semi-final in Eugene Oregon. She is also the current Commonwealth and African champion in the 100M hurdles. In January 2024, she broke the new African women’s 60-metre hurdles indoor record with a time of 7.77 seconds.

 

With her win last night, Nigerians look forward to the 100-meter Hurdle competition tonight.
